Benchwork finished, on to subroadbed

Finished up the benchwork this weekend. All problems were solved, and it has turned out pretty good. Still a few things left to do, but they will come in time. Also, cut some plywood for what will become the north staging yard. I had some O scale cork roadbed, so I used it as sheet cork for the yard. Track is in temporary positions, nothing nailed down just yet. I'll soon be moving on to more track work, but I must first look in to which DCC system I will be using and plan accordingly.

Good progress

This weekend I felt very compelled to finish up two tables after not finishing the one I was planning to last weekend. So, I did. This is the result.

The legs on table #1 were giving me fits
with leveling (the whole table started rocking
around at one point) so I had to
dismantle it. I'll get it redone soon...maybe

Rio Grande SD9 Patch

I worked on a small project this weekend which was finishing up a patch job on a Rio Grande SD7 or 9 (pretty sure its a 9) I got from a friend recently. The decals are not ready yet, but they will be added later. Also, there were some mishaps with the paint, but those should be fixed soon.

I have finished up the first table for the layout. It still has a little work to do to it, but it is basically finished and ready for use
